Family Legacy

Every single Monday morning, as your alarm blasts your eardrums, you realize that you spent the weekend “living your best life” and the “weekend vibes” were high, but now, it’s back to reality. A reality that you’ve created for yourself because quite frankly, up until this point, you didn’t know how to move beyond being leisure minded and living for the moment.

But you’re done being just another face in the crowd of people who fail to realize their ability to embrace responsibility, build something for themselves and their family, focus on the extraordinary and become legacy minded.

How many more Mondays of wishing the week away, making plans for Friday afternoon, is it going to take for you to pursue your big idea and change your family’s future?

When you decide to create a family legacy, you stop thinking about living for the moment and you start thinking about the generations to come. You don’t just want to build something for your family that will provide for them financially, you want to instill your values and character in your family line that are based on truth, a truth that you get to name.

You have the chance to build a dynasty for your family. Today more than ever before, you have a built-in platform to speak from, but what do you have to say that’s important enough for people to listen to? What do you value? What does your character say about you? (What do people say about your character behind your back?)

Are your great-grandchildren going to look back at your life and wish that you would have done something more, setting them up to achieve success beyond measure for themselves? Are your great-grandchildren even going to know your name?

When you break free from your chains of the weekend mode, you have an opportunity to involve your whole family in your vision. They see you working hard, pressing in and striving for new goals and dreams that they never knew you had, let them in. They want to see you succeed and they want to be a part of it. Let your spouse, your significant other, your kids into the vision you are creating. Not only do they want to be your biggest cheerleaders, they want to be in the game with you.

Or maybe it’s just you right now, well my friend, you need to be your own biggest cheerleader and be the best teammate you can be to yourself. You will only find out what you are capable of when you push yourself to the absolute limit, and then take a few steps more.

Leaving a family legacy is more than just a DNA trail, proving you were once here. Leaving a family legacy is making a real, tangible and lasting impact for generations beyond your physical reach.

So, ask yourself, what is your Family Legacy going to be?
