Mind. Body. Spirit.
You are in pursuit of something more. Of something that burns deep down in the depths of your soul, that you’re longing to set free, becoming more, attaining more, doing more and having more. That fire within is why you found yourself here.
We get that. That pursuit of freedom that makes you drag your tired body out of bed, an hour before the sun, to get a head start on the day, that driving force you hear over and over again, like the waves crashing on the shore during high tide, we hear that too.
But the pursuit of wealth and financial gain means nothing if your mind and body are worn down and broken because you refused to prioritize your health throughout your journey.
Prioritize Your Mind
What kinds of thoughts guide your day? Are you constantly imagining the worst-case scenario or do you allow yourself to dream of all of the possibilities each day holds?
Life is going to throw some curve-balls your way. Are you going to step up to the plate and take a swing, or are you going to stay on the bench because you’ve already been loathing in self-defeating thoughts so you may as well not even give it a go?
Often times we are not able to control the circumstances or situations we find ourselves in; what kind of coping habits do you fall back on as your stress levels rise? What kind of habits have you formed to continue pushing forward from a place of emotional stability and solid decision making? What makes you sure of yourself and keeps you moving in the right direction?
Prioritize Your Body
We don’t produce energy, we create energy. You need to move your body and move your body often.
Do you ever find yourself glued to your work (and your seat) for hours on end because you have so much to get done? Stop that! Take a break every hour … well every 50 minutes if you really want to get into the science of it!
By moving your body, you will reset your mind. As you get your blood flowing and your muscles firing again, you will produce more energy, creating more focus to drive you forward.
Love yourself enough to take care of yourself.
Drink a ton of water every single day and feed your body with what is going to fuel your body. Go to bed when you’re tired. You do not need to stay up all night long to check one more item off your To-Do list. (Maybe you need to delegate half your list instead!)
And of course, sweat it out. Find something you love that gets your heart-rate up and get sweaty as often as you can!
Prioritize Your Spirit
What are you rooted in? What grounds you as the world continues to move at a rapid fire pace? What does your daily practice look like?
Starting your day with gratitude, prayer, meditation and mindfulness will center your spirit and focus your energy. Take the time every day to dive into who you are a bit deeper and the role you play in the universe so that you can embrace it and use it for a greater good.
Overall Well-Being
In the pursuit of any goal to any degree of success, you need to prioritize your overall well-being. That doesn’t mean looking a certain way, fitting into a particular size, spending hours lifting weights every day, or fitting into any outward appearance society may find acceptable.
Your overall well-being is about feeling good, having energy, being strong emotionally and physically, being rooted in faith and having the mental clarity required to pursue your legacy.
